At the Del mar powerhouse, you could begin your wedding or event with a ceremony and cocktail reception to follow on the West Patio with picturesque Del Mar Beach as the scenic panoramic backdrop.  After you and your guests have taken in what nature has to offer, move into the main and upstairs floor space of The Powerhouse for a seated dinner of up to 120 guests.  Guests can also be seated in the covered patio, weather permitting.  After dinner, stay inside to dance to the music played by a DJ or small band while enjoying the company of your guests.

After a bit of entertainment, escape to the upstairs deck for some fresh ocean air and look upon the shoreline through one of the venue’s coin-operated telescopes or step off the property and onto the sand for a leisurely nighttime stroll.

Parking can be a bit tough in this area, since the venue is on the beach and nestled between Seagrove Park and fine dining restaurants.  However street parking and private parking lots are available.  This much sought-after venue books out well in advance, with events beginning as early as noon and ending no later than 10pm.

An Amazing Experience

On a picturesque day in Del Mar, California, the beaming bride and groom tied the knot at the Del Mar Powerhouse.  The sun glittered over the waves and a cool breeze blew as the two exchanged the vows time has woven into their relationship.

The delightful wedding at the scenic Del Mar Powerhouse on the coast was definitely unforgettable for our newlyweds, their families and friends, who all united as one.

A sit down dinner for nearly 100 guests was executed flawlessly within 15 minutes. Our guests were given 4 different choices for their entreé, which didn’t slow down our service even a little. Professional staff and vendors made this night come together harmoniously and made our couple’s night. Remarkable designs with different rotating textures of linens, colors of gold, champagne, white roses with feathers and chargers made the night shine!

The Manzanita Wish Tree complete with hanging clear crystals, provided by Artquest, was one of the most eye-catching and unique decors of the night. A vast variety provided at the candy bar surely pleased every sweet tooth as well. Up-lighting through the room set a romantic tone for the entire evening and gave it not only a spark at a glance, but also the feel of an intimate atmosphere. We wish our couple a happy honeymoon and love in the years to come!

Exceeding Expectations, Once Again

During cocktail hour, guests celebrated the union with a champagne toast and appetizers that included tri-colored bruschetta, mini beef Wellington and chicken satay.   Guests were welcomed into the dining room where they were greeted with the couple’s own take on the traditional pre-set Abbey Signature Salad including leafy greens, caramelized walnuts, fresh strawberries and dressed with a raspberry vinaigrette.

Dinner was a home-style dual presented entree that included panko crusted Tilapia, braised superior Angus beef, truffled cream cheese  garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies and perfectly seasoned risotto to which the guests were hungrily obliged.

The new couple danced the night away and decided on a kiss and a cupcake for dessert.  A perfect end to a wonderful day!

Rental fees are done by the hour or purchased as an all-day event and vary depending on the day of the week and month, but a 3 hour minimum is required to secure your date.  The venue includes the complimentary use of 60” round guest tables, 120 white padded folding chairs, as well as some additional banquet tables, which is a great bonus and savings.  For availability and more information call us at ( 888) 238-0949 at extension 2.
