21 Jun A Wedding to Remember
Smaller, more intimate weddings seem to be the trend these days. One past bride had an intimate wedding at The Darlington house in La Jolla. The design was perfectly customized to fit the bride and grooms personality. Forty eight guests gathered for the ceremony in front of the water garden. Filled with close friends and family, the Shabby Chic Chiavari chairs lined the isle for a romantic ceremony. As you walked into the cocktail hour hot pink linens draped the tables and the colors enhanced the romantic setting of the mosaic tiled patio. Guest enjoyed gourmet horderves and cocktails in the beautifully lit terrace. The reception was held in the rose garden. The U shaped table was draped with eggplant colored crushed linens, very fitting for an intimate dinner. Ivory napkins with rosettes draped off the tables and candles were placed stragtically for mood lighting. The U shaped table had petite center pieces filled with hydrangeas and pink roses. Rose petals were scattered over the brick patio, the perfect touch for a  romantic setting. The guest all gathered at the one table to share the first dinner with the bride and the groom. The shape of the table made it easy for the bride and groom to personally thank each one of their guest. It was clear that the guest felt connected to the event. The decor was so detail oriented it made every area of the venue memorable. After dinner the bride and groom shared cup cakes with their guest in the very spot they earlier took their vows, all making the night one to remember. The details were perfect for the romantic venue and it was clear it complimented the bride and groom for a small intimate wedding with close family and friends.
