Honey, I Brought the Kids!

Honey, I Brought the Kids!

Although weddings are generally filled with merriment and good times, it’s not always the most entertaining place for a child to be. So if you’re inviting children to your wedding, here are some ideas to help keep the little ones occupied so the big kids can have their fun:
• Set aside a separate table or area for the kids to eat and play, under the watchful eye of a babysitter, like small tables and chairs or a play area with bean bags and small tents. Find age-appropriate activities to keep them occupied, like coloring books, crafts, and board games.
• If there is an adjacent room away from the main reception that would be suitable for a movie room, setup a projector and screen to play some popular titles and keep the little ones entertained for hours.
• Hire child-focused entertainment for the younger guests to enjoy, like balloon makers and face painters.
• Photobooths are normally a huge hit at every wedding, so give the children their own version with disposable cameras they can use to take their own pictures or have a supervised digital camera and photo printer station so their memories can be kept or shared for all to enjoy.
