With the rain of last summer still fresh in our minds, it will be a relief for many to find out that this summer in San Diego is going to be a hot one. The San Diego Botanic Gardens is already the perfect place for a warm blue sky day and an idyllic wedding. With the upcoming Valentine’s Day event nearing closer. Tropical, Yet Modern, Wedding at San Diego Botanic Garden
Imagine walking through lush forests, with overhanging trees forming well-deserved shade in the hot summer sun. The sounds of nature all around as the perfect symphony for a wedding at the most blissful location in South California. The Waterfall View Deck is made for days of summer, and is one of the most popular parts of the garden for photographs. In a secluded area of the Gardens. This can be your own space to share that intimate moment of exchanging vows with your loved one and your friends and family around you.
Similarly, The San Diego Botanical Garden located in Encinitas is a choice spot to have a wedding and with the perfect weather that frequents San Diego an outdoor reception is paradise waiting. The Huyhn party chose this spot for its beauty and seclusion. They wished to have a nice intimate gathering of family to witness this special day for their exchanging of vows. Due to being surrounded by blossoming flowers, stunning clear blue skies overhead and exotic smells wafting throughout the gardens.
Our Recent Wedding at The Venue
Fifty guests sat in the “Walled Garden” and watched while the officiant began the exchange of vows. Gathered together under a wood grove of trees and green fern, shaded from the sun and birds flying all about, the ceremony commenced.
After the two “I do!”‘s, the guests move to the reception area. The Victorian Gazebo Lawn is a space where you can seat up to 250 people for dinner and dessert. Above all their dinner was set using buffet stations, a martini salad shaker station, a main entree station and the favorite, a doughnut station, where there was a selection of doughnut pastries and hot chocolate. Hence, The perfect invitation to treat one’s self to after dinner. The buffet station was perfect for this environment, guests could get up for second helpings if they wished and eat at their own pace.
Rushing waterfalls, blooming scenery and lush bamboo groves set the scene for the exotic wedding ceremony at San Diego Botanical Gardens. The bride, groom and their 250 close friends and family got to share this beautiful occasion in a breathtaking setting. Tucked away into corners of the gardens were romantic details. Pictures of the happy couple throughout their courtship. A photo printing station so that guests received instant memories of the special day and a sign-in book where they wished the loved-up pair future happiness.
A Truly Beautiful Scene
The all-inclusive package meant a stress free day for the bride and groom and allow them to focus, enjoy, and relish their special day. This striking jewel-toned themed wedding was highlighted by a gourmet 3 tiered cake from Baby Cakes. Classic hairstyles and flawless make-up by Leland. The talented and trained eye of videographer Tareq. Skilled creative photographer Julie, and extraordinary flowers by Artquest Florist.
Wine from the family vineyard made the day even more memorable and beautifully complimented the Mediterranean styled dinner prepared by highly trained Abbey Catering chefs. Family and friends rounded off the evening dancing under the stars to the sounds of the Matt Yeakley band and DJ Alex Trumbo. Everyone was left aglow with the magic of the evening and memories that will last a lifetime.
The sun finally set and lamp lights began to come on. The the gazebo where the cake was being set up lit up in brilliant blues to cast an enchanting hue over the guests. They finished dinner and prepared for the cutting of the cake. Finally, the day was a total success and the guests and staff watched as the newly wed couple whisked away to begin their honeymoon.
