They say a picture is worth a thousand words; volumes were written on a recent sunny Saturday and I helped to document them all. Lydia and Qihai are so loved by their friends and family, and it was evident by the amount of concern and care for the perfection of their day and in the words shared at the toasts. A grand entrance expertly choreographed and completely entertaining let all in attendance know they were in for a great time. A beach inspired cake designed by Lydia’s friend Esther and floral creations by Art Quest’s Arturo accented the Ocean View Villas. The DJ executed a slide show created by Lydia’s brother and kept the pace with a selection of songs which energized the crowd.

Lydia and Qihai, you have hearts of gold. The love in the room was inspired by you both. It was an honor to assist in your day and an honor to be amongst your family and friends celebrating your wedding.

The picturesque lawn at Ocean View Villas was the perfect setting for this lazy, hazy, fun-filled wedding. With dramatic views atop sunset cliffs, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the excited couple said their I do’s amidst overjoyed family and friends.

The couple envisioned an all-white classic wedding with a few quirks thrown in for good measure. Tablescapes were mesmerizing in crisp white linens, dazzling crystal stemware, simple white, wooden folding chairs, and united by an original floral centerpiece.

Once the hustle and bustle of the ceremony was over, guests were welcomed into the cocktail area where servers weaved in and out with mouth watering treats, specifically selected by the bride and groom. As playful family and friends shared laughter over the nearby photo booth (complete with props), the Abbey Catering’s expert bartenders kept drinks flowing with a list of specialty drinks chosen by the new Mr. and Mrs.

The couple opted for a traditional seated dinner, complete with the Abbey signature salad and dual entrees so that each guest was privileged to try both awe-inspiring, gourmet entrees, expertly prepared on-site by Chef Matt Berardi.

As the sun set, the warm glow of evening turned into the cool darkness of night and guests boogey-woogied the night away to hip beats, the dj accepted requests and read the crowd to ensure no song went undanced.

It was truly a pleasure to be a part of this special day. Lydia and Qihai chose one of the Abbey packages which allowed them to pick and choose from various vendors and spectacular wedding options, including the Maui Penthouse! Their union was a fantastic event that will not soon be forgotten by all those present.
