Undiscovered #WeddingVenues in #SanDiego

San Diego is arguably a top wedding destination in the U.S. due to our near perfect weather all year round and variety of tourist attractions, not to mention the plethora of wedding venues that appeal to every type of bride. Whether you consider yourself beachy, rustic, or urban, San Diego has a wedding venue for you. Although there are too many to list in one article, here are some of my top picks for the hottest wedding venues to watch out for in 2013, in alphabetical order:

1. La Jolla Cove Suites: With a newly renovated private rooftop deck, this hotel in the heart of La Jolla boasts the best view of the ocean in the area and most suited for a bride that considers themselves casual and beachy. It’s also a great place to stay because of the amazing restaurants, designer stores, and other tourist attractions surrounding the hotel. The La Jolla Cove Suites is one of the top venues for the best Beach Weddings.

2. Cuvier Club: Voted by ABC 10 News as the top wedding venue in 2012, this venue blends traditional and modern elements with a large ballroom that can house up to 300 guests for a seated reception and a white interior with high vaulted ceilings which make it a blank canvas and creative bride’s dream.

3. LaFayette Hotel & Swim Club: This beautifully renovated boutique hotel is a staple in the North Park community of central San Diego and one-time destination for well-known celebrities. This venue is the perfect pick for a bride with retro and vintage tastes, particularly because of the hotel’s decor and grand Mississippi ballroom with a clamshell stage reminiscent of the big band era.

4. Luce Loft: This intimate venue in downtown San Diego has a great urban and warehouse-like feel and the right choice for a more modern or contemporary bride. Some of the perks of this venue include a 24 hour rental and freedom to bring in all of the vendors you choose.

5. Villa de Flores: One of the most immaculately-landscaped places I’ve ever seen, this outdoor venue is great for a bride looking for romantic and vintage elements. The lawn area can accommodate up to 300 guests for a seated reception and one almost feels like a character in “Alice in Wonderland” when walking through the twinkle-lit trails of this venue.
